Town Hall 4 TH4 Upgrade Order.
"What do I upgrade next?" is probably the most common question asked in Clash of Clans.  So lets address this first.

Buying Gems to get all five builders is generally considered the best investment of real money in the game, as you progress the extra builders become even more important, so their value actually increases throughout the game.  Even if you aren't a gemmer, buy the gems to get all five builders, you won't regret it.  If you can't afford it, save every gem you get and only use them for builders.  Unlock achievements and clear obstacles to get the gems you need.

Tier 1 tasks - start with these:

Gold Storage & Elixir Storage - Upgrade your storages so you can farm enough Gold and Elixir do the rest of the tasks.
Laboratory - So you can upgrade your troops!
Walls - Leave a builder free to always be building walls or upgrading them.
Troop Upgrades - As soon as the laboratory upgrade completes, you should always be researching something.  Research the troops in the order of most frequent use to least frequent use.  In other words if you always use Archers, upgrade them first.  If you never use Giants, upgrade them last.

Tier 2 tasks - do these after you have completed or nearly completed Tier 1 tasks, you will most likely be working on upgrading your troops and walls throughout your time at Town Hall 3.
Army Camps - Upgrade them to increase your Army size!
Clan Castle - Upgrading your Clan Castle gives you an additional five Clan Castle troop spots!
Barracks - Upgrade them to unlock Balloons and to increase your queue size.
Walls - Leave a builder free to always be building walls or upgrading them.
Troop Upgrades - Always be researching something.

Tier 3 tasks - save these for last.
Spring Traps - Build them and start springing enemies out of your village!
Archer Tower - Build your new one and upgrade your archer towers.
Cannons - Upgarde your cannons.
Bombs - Upgrade your bombs.
Gold Mines and Elixir Collectors - Build and upgrade these to increase production.
Walls - All of them should be upgraded to level 3 before moving on.
Troop Upgrades - All upgrades should be completed before moving on

Upgrade your town hall!
Fill your storages while your town hall is upgrading.

idk about you but i have been getting more loot after the update with just doing barch attacks. ive hitting villages and finding many with 300k-500k in gold and elixer. ive found some in the 600k-700k and barch attaked them and have gotten about 400k-500k from them. Im also a th9 and since this update ive been able to speed up on building my walls faster, troops faster, archer queen and defense. Only thing that is still a drag is just the wait time for them to go up another level but thats about it.

YEAH BRO I TRY TO STAY IN BETWEEN GOLD 1 - SILVER 111. THATS WHERE I FIND MOST BASES THAT HAVE A LOT OF LOOT AND ARE EASY TO TAKE WHILE JUST USING BARCH. IM MAINLY IN GOLD THOUGH I DROP SOMETIMES TO SILVER BECAUSE I TEND TO LOSE TROPHYS WHEN I BARCH ATTACK SINCE IM NOT WORRIED ABOUT TROPHIES RIGHT NOW. BUT ITS EASY TO PICK BACK UP TO GOLD.
